  • This is not the flag of Laos.

  • Well...other than the top row of red and the bottom row of red, this IS the flag of Laos. It would have come out more accurate (since we can't use color here) if you had kept the top two rows and the bottom two rows white (instead of filling them in as black)! Still, good attempt! I appreciate ALL puzzles that people try and create! Thanks! ~:)

BTW: To the Hanjie site creators: It would be AWESOME to have a COLORED Hanjie site!! HINT HINT!! LOL I LOVE doing colored picross puzzles but cant find a single online site that uses COLOR instead of just black and white. If there is anyone here who HASN'T tried colored picross puzzles, you SHOULD! They are so fun and much more challenging then the black and white puzzles! I would recommend finding a Picross book that uses COLOR to play/complete OFFline (like the book: Pocket PrismaPixels on Amazon, which is MY favorite one!) I am CERTAIN that if you like this site, you will LOVE that book of puzzles!!

  • I didn't realize that it would get rid of any blank rows - it was originally three stripes, the circle being in the middle stripe. I'll work on it...

  • Thanks for the tip, KatrinaJ! I would love to try picross in color! That sounds awesome!

  • @Jeanvic - THANKS so much!!! I wish I could read the site! LOL I'm not very good at the colored puzzles (at ALL) but I have fun with them! They are definitely CHALLENGING! I really appreciate this info cuz I would have NEVER found it on my own! ~:)

  • To the Hanjie Site Creators: If you happen to be reading this and taking suggestions can I offer one more?!? LOL

It would really be AWESOME if we could email or IM one another!! I find myself growing very fond of some folks on here and it would be great if we could "talk" to each other (without it being totally public and having to sign up for individual puzzle emails)..even if its just an IM box at the bottom corner of the page, where we could quickly talk to those who are "signed in" and playing??

I don't know how hard it is to create a site or if it's possible to add things like that b/c I've never created one (other than with things like Geocities) but if it IS possible, it would be awesome to have that ability on here!! :) Or even just having a way to PRIVATELY email other players would be great too! Just a thought! ~:)

  • @Swford: You will have to let me know how you like the COLORED puzzles! The site offered above is in another language but it's fairly easy to figure out how to play.

If you (or anyone else) is wanting to try out the colored puzzle site but cant read it, the biggest difference is that you do NOT put ANY "spaces" between the colors. So, for example, if you have 5 orange squares, followed by 2 yellow squares, you will NOT put a space between them. Instead they follow IMMEDIATELY after one another! If you want to try to play but dont know how and have questions on how to play and I will try to help the best I can!!! ~:)

  • You're welcome, KatrinaJ. I can't read the site either but luckily we can solve picross in any language.

  • As Karina mentions "if you have 5 orange squares, followed by 2 yellow squares, you will NOT put a space between them. Instead they follow IMMEDIATELY after one another!"

However this isn't always the case with coloured picross... sometimes there is a space or two between colours like normal hanjie and other times there isn't :0)
