Many years ago ... invited to VIP suite at national conference.
Champagne and canapes arranged tastefully on low glass coffee tables.
Introduced to top CEO. "Sit in my chair" he said. "No, stay where you are, I'll sit on the table" I said. I sat down gracefully...
The glass top wasn't attached to the base of the table.
