Americans really do LOVE this day! It may be about our "independence" as a country but it's also basically "Pyromanic Day!" LOL
As a "red blooded" American I'm really looking forward to this day! Our family plus 4-5 other families always go in together and purchase about $600 worth of fireworks in order to have one HELL of a huge "neighborhood" fireworks show! It's always MUCH more fun than going downtown to see the city fireworks show cuz we get to CHOOSE what fireworks we want (and yes we always get some HUGE ones that shoot WAY up in the sky), plus we never have to deal with any traffic or the HOARDS of people! It may be a bit more dangerous...and illegal (even though there is ALWAYS a sheriff who joins us since he lives next door)...but its also more "intimate" and HELLA FUN!! LOL
