When she looked at John after kissing him, Jewel couldn't believe her eyes. The ogre was completely gone. He was now the most handsome man she has ever seen.
As John told her about what had happened to him, he was the son of a very wealthy and notable family. Due to a conflict with his father, an evil witch had put a spell on his son as a revenge. After he was turned into an ogre, John saw that his family was miserable, so he left them not to see them so sorry and settled in the forest. He couldn't tell anyone about the spell and only a true love's kiss could break it, as it happened with Jewel's.
