  • Ok, I've got five out of the 7, one from the nine, and then what?
Am I missing something, or has my brain been totally drained by our rare sunshine today?

  • Use temp mode to find 9, then it's easy.

  • **SPOILER ALERT**
I wouldn't exactly say this was "easy."
I took a SWAG and centered the 9 squares in the bottom row. It worked! I hope that helps.

  • For future reference @Rattygap: put a completely black row at the bottom and that will allow the solver to find the proper location of the "9" clue without guessing.

  • Oh, I see it now, it's second-order logic. You have to consider some horizontal and vertical clues simultaneously. The logic is like this: You know that the center square of the bottom row is part of the "9" clue. If the 9 squares are too far to the left or too far to the right, it becomes impossible to satisfy the "3" clues row just above the bottom due to the presence of several "2" in the bottom of several of the columns. So there's only one possible positioning of the 9.

  • If you nail down the 9 in the bottom row with 2d logic, everything else is logical, no guessing or temps needed.
