  • A bit tricky to get started. My advice is to look at the leftmost column and notice that certain placements of the "5" clue make it impossible to complete the adjacent column. This should allow you to rule out a lot of possible positions. Also notice that the puzzle has symmetry (diagonal reflection; the horizontal clues are the same as the vertical clues).

  • Can't use logic alone. If you assume the ends of the 5's are 2's in the other direction, you can do it.

  • Thanks Cherlo, but I still don't know where to start any of the 5's. Can you give the locations of the 5's in columns 1 and 5 and I'll see if that gets me going? I tried temporaries but they didn't get me far and I got stuck again. Thanks!

  • By assuming that the 2s in column 2 are either side of the 5 and so on, I've managed to get something that's beginning to look like butterfly wings.

  • You can do it logically IF you know where to start. The 5 in column 1 is in rows 11-15, and the 5 in row 25 is in columns 11-15. Once you start that way you can complete the rest of the puzzle logically!

  • Not sure if there are multiple possible solutions or one unique solution. Thank you for the puzzle.
