Today we call them frying pans, but we don't know exactly what they were used for, they were probably cult objects. The universe was represented on them, as the people of the Aegean Sea saw it 5,000 years ago. In the middle the sun (did you hear Copernicus?), around it the sea with the waves (in a superb spiral representation that stylized became the graphic leitmotif of Greece) and the fish, and outside the stars.
