An Old Friend

The Ant and the Aardvark series was first featured by United Artists in 1969. Seventeen theatrical shorts were produced before the aardvark and his ant were featured with other characters such as the Pink Panther and The Inspector.

Their first appearance on The New Pink Panther Show in 1971 became so popular that the duo became a featured part of the series. Musical director Doug Goodwin was responsible for the upbeat jazzy music and all 6 of his performing musicians received the first ever on-screen credit.
